On most Saturdays I am lucky enough to sit in near perfect weather, bay-side and practice meditation under Jenny’s instruction. Without exception, I end yoga practice with a gratitude for my life, belongings and situation. Jenny has a remarkable ability to connect with her peers and develop a positive energy. Energy radiates in her classes that exude comfort, peace and inner awareness all the while reviving the physical body under an appropriate level of exercise. I was very excited to have the opportunity to photograph Jenny for use on her web page geared towards those practicing an Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle. You can check out her business and catch some of her amazing energy at www.wildvedicliving.com
Thank you for all of the practice Jenny!!
Shooting with Shelbie always yields an entertaining and creative time. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot with her throughout the last few years, capturing photographs that showcase her dramatic changes in style and hair length. Though her appearance differs through each shoot, her beauty and unique look remain as captivating as prior shoots. I have comprised some of our collaboration photos that date back to 2011, showcasing both our evolution as model and photographer.
I met Alison through the random happenstances that the universe occasionally bestows upon us. A couple years back I met a friend on the internet, who introduced me to a friend. That friend and I ran into one another and she introduced me to Alison. Are you confused yet? The universe definitely sewed and stitched some time-bending together to let us meet. She instantly became one of my targeted muses. With a background in ballet, an open spirit, and terrible (but great) movie references, Alison showed she is beyond easy to shoot. These shots are from a couple months ago, but I’m happy to finally showcase a collection of my favorite shots from my first shoot with this lovely lady.
And a pretty smile too! 🙂
Thank you all for following me the past couple years through my experiment and dabble in photography. Throughout these last couple years in my relationship with photography, I’ve been riding a rough wave of balance in my life, trying to surf with consistent inspiration, and like many other art minded people, I’ve found myself sometimes coming up short. Although, there are many times I feel overcome and overwhelmed with ideas and mental images, life calls and has disrupted my art.
As time goes by, and shifts in routine sway, my objective with art varies. I’ve found myself uninterested with the politics of photography as I was once obsessed with, and find myself only concerned with producing emotional, artistic images that attack viewers with a sense of emotion and connectivity with their interpretation of an image.
This new project serves as my attempt at sharing my own images with the public, and a timeline of my inevitable growth and journey.
